Creating the Inspiration 12 application in SCCM

  1. Go to Home > Applications and create a new application.
  2. Select Manually specify the application information.
  3. On deployment types select Add.
  4. On the deployment type wizard select Manually specify the deployment type information then click Next past the General Information section.
  5. In the content section select Browse next to the Content location field navigate to the share containing the MSI, Install.bat, Install-Inspiration12-IE-Enterprise.ps1, Uninstall.bat Uninstall-Inspiration12-IE-Enterprise.ps1 and Inspiration NOS (license file). Using the batch file to install Inspiration 12 will copy the license once the installation is finished. If you install the MSI directly the license file will not be installed.
  6. For Installation program type Install.bat
  7. For Uninstall program type Uninstall.bat
  8. Click Next and proceed to the Detection Method section.
  9. In the Detection Method section click Add Clause.
  10. Configure the following in the Detection Rule window:
    1. For Setting Type select File System.
    2. For Type select File
    3. In the Path field type
      1. US Edition: %programfiles(x86)%\Inspiration 12
      2. IE Edition: %programfiles(x86)%\Inspiration 12 IE
    4. In the File or folder name field type
      1. US Edition: Insp12.exe
      2. IE Edition: Insp12IE.exe
  11. Click OK to finish adding the new detection rule then proceed to the User Experience section.
  12. Set Installation behavior to Install for system.
  13. Set Logon requirement to Whether or not a user is logged on.
  14. Finally set the Installation program visibility field to Hidden and proceed past both the Requirements and Dependencies sections to the Completion section and confirm the application.
